2006-03-10: Strange World RPG Sneak Peek #1 ready for download

March 10, 2006 - You lay peacefully in your sleeping bag, staring up at the ceiling of your pup tent. The chill air revitalizes you as you rest from a long day’s march deep into the forest. Dimly, you can see the glow from the fire, now just embers, and you share a fond memory of coffee around the campfire as the sun set and darkness descended peacefully on the world.

Suddenly, you are aware of a strange smell. It’s very musky, but is not a skunk, and does not smell like any animal you know of. You hear it before you see it: the sound of something big in your camp. The shadow that it cast on your tent sends a chill up your spine. Whatever it is, it is standing on two feet and is big. A bear? Maybe. It’s gotta be, you tell yourself. What else could it be?

Anyway, you decide to take a peek. Slowly, carefully, you work your way to the opening, and you quietly unzip it just enough to peek out, waiting for the animal to make noise before unzipping. Then, you take a peek. What you see in that moment will change the course of your life forever…

The first of several Strange World Sneak Peeks has been released. It is an actual excerpt from the book presented to show you what the game will be like. Each Sneak Peek will give you something that you can use in your Now Playing or Fudge games right away.

"I have had a love affair with the paranormal all my life," says Bradford Younie, president of Carnivore Games, "and it’s with love and passion that I am bringing Strange World to the public. I cannot produce such a game without showing great detail to actual evidence and sightings. I certainly hope you will enjoy the Sneak Peek and Strange World."

"Strange World" is a roleplaying game that immerses you in the reality of the paranormal. Is Bigfoot real, or just the product of some overactive imaginations? It’s up to you whether to believe or not. It’s up to the Game Master to thrill you as you find out!
